Investigation

The section 'what and how we do it' outlines the main lines currently being developed.

Furthermore, as a result of the group's research, some forty doctoral theses have been read since 1988.

The Moral Education Research Group (GREM) was formed in 1988, focusing on the teaching of "Moral Education" and various research projects focused on moral education, values, and the school environment. Our first collective work, "Ethics and School: The Pedagogical Treatment of Difference," published by Ediciones 62, received the Rosa Sensat Prize for Pedagogy in 1989.

Since 1996, GREM has been recognized as a consolidated, high-quality research group by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government).

Currently, the group is composed of around twenty professors from the University of Barcelona and other universities, along with research fellows who are developing their doctoral theses within the group.

GREM carries out research projects, develops and designs educational materials, prepares reports and studies, and offers undergraduate, graduate, master's, and doctoral programs, as well as continuing education. Its main lines of work include:

  • Family education and values

  • Service-learning and social integration

  • Ethical learning and citizenship building

  • Women and social inclusion

  • Education in values for a democratic and intercultural citizenship

In addition, the group collaborates with various educational and research institutions and actively participates in international networks.
